How to Make Your Eyelashes Attractive

My first unconscious understanding of the importance of eyelashes being a part of feminine beauty grew from watching the Disney cartoons like, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Tom & Jerry.  I guess that’s how all kids, especially girls first learn their lesson on beauty in their subconscious mind.

In the eighties as kids we were not well acquainted with the fashion world.  We didn’t have access to the web world or the media.  I remember somehow I figured out that beautifying the eye lashes are an integral part of grooming. It adds to your expressions. As a kid I was totally ignorant about mascara or any tools of make-up.  (I never had the guts to ask my parents about it. I grew up in an era when study and play was considered as the only karma of a student.

But who could stop me from finding out my way to beautification and self admiration. In my teenage years I came in contact with a cousin of mine who was doing a prestigious Fashion Technology course in WLCI. Much to my elation apart from giving me tips on clothes and how to look cool, she also shared a couple of secrets about how to do good eye make-up. I also learnt from my mom that applying castor oil is good for the eyelashes, I realised that brushing the eye lashes upwards after application of castor oil gives the desired result, if not perfect.

That helped me to gain the thickness too. It wasn’t a convenient thing to do in the summer because humidity was high.  Thanks to modern inventions and progress that helps to make our eye lashes slightly thick, thick, extra thick and what not. With the false extension we can even modify the length of the eye lashes.  Oh! Talking of the false eye lashes reminds me of a funny story I once heard in a talk show on television.  Our most adored bollywood star Saif Ali Khan once, as a child saw his mom Sharmila Tagore pulling off her false eye lashes when she was removing her make-up.  On not knowing they were false, he thought he could do the same. He felt terrible pain trying to pull out some of his eye lashes.  Haha....

My earlier learning appears primitive now.  I have updated my acumen on eye-make-up over the years and with my inquisitiveness and artistic streak in my nature it has helped me gain experience and master the art of eye makeup.
So ladies!  Can’t stop but signing off with a tip: Apart from doing your eyes and eyelashes try to blink your eyes softly and slowly than usual. That is graceful!
